The Ridgway 1K Rally Thru the Alley is a celebration of costumes, carbs, and community! This hilariously slow-paced 1K is perfect for all ages and fitness levels (especially the “non-runner” types). Forget training — this “grueling” 6-block, all-downhill course is lined with seven themed aid stations, where participants can refuel with everything from bacon to donuts to mocktails and more. Waves of racers are released every few minutes beginning at 12:45 PM, with the last wave departing no later than 1:15 PM — so arrive before 12:45 if you’re registering day-of!

🏆 Prizes awarded for best costume, most outrageous group, and most fun had.
👧 Kids under 13 run FREE with a registered adult!

San Juan Oktoberfest

Sunday, October 4 | Hartwell Park | Ridgway, Colorado | 2-5PM

This year marks the inaugural San Juan Oktoberfest, happening Sunday, October 4, immediately following the wildly fun Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley. After the costumes, laughter, and downhill dash through town, the celebration continues in the park with a festival that blends Austrian tradition with Rocky Mountain charm.

Picture lederhosen, dirndls, bratwursts, live music filling the autumn air, and kids laughing just as much as the adults. It’s the perfect way to send off summer and welcome the golden days of fall in the quirky mountain town we all love: Ridgway. We'll be pouring various Oktoberfest style beers; Hefeweizens, German Style Pilsners, along with Spiced Ciders and local Wines! Be sure to bring your valid ID too!
